Avianca flight AV125 flies Bogotá (BOG) to Mariscal Sucre (UIO). In early October 2026, public flight-status history showed a scheduled arrival of 23:40 — about 11:40pm local — with the aircraft leaving Bogotá at 22:05. Landings on 1, 2, and 3 October 2026 were 11:49pm, 11:42pm, and 11:33pm. Late September on the same boards was the same clock, with a few nights slipping a little past midnight. Another schedule listing has shown an earlier 10:25pm arrival for this flight number. Use the time on your Avianca reservation, and check avianca.com again before departure. “Typically around 11:40pm” is what recent boards showed, not a guarantee for every future date.

You are landing with the late Bogotá bank, close to LATAM LA1443 at about 11:00pm and ahead of Avianca AV8396, which has recently been scheduled around 1:15am. The flight number is what your driver should be watching.

The hall at a quarter to midnight

International arrivals go through immigration, then bags, then the exit. At 11:40pm the room is not the afternoon crush and it is not abandoned. You can still wait. A single delayed inbound ahead of you changes the line more than the printed schedule does. Passport out, form filled if the crew gave you one, liquids and laptop where you can reach them if anyone asks. None of that is complicated. Doing it while walking is how people lose the thread.

Checked bags: stay at the belt. The exit is where strangers offer rides. Your transfer, if you booked one, is a person with your name, past the doors — see how meet and greet works. If you are comparing that with a curb taxi, the plain version is what a taxi from UIO actually involves.

Thirty-five to forty-five minutes is the nighttime city drive

Tababela to Quito on Ruta Viva, once traffic has died down, is commonly about 35–45 minutes. Cumbayá comes first, in the valley, and is often closer to 25–35 minutes. Do not add those together. You are going to one address. A city drop in the daytime is often quoted as 40–60 minutes because the same road clogs; 11:40pm is the lighter version, not a promise down to the minute. Wyndham Quito Airport is the Tababela hotel, typically 10–15 minutes, and it is the $50 product, not a stand-in for a hotel downtown.

If you are coming from sea-level Bogotá, Quito’s airport is already high and the city is higher. Headache and shortness of breath on the walk to the car are common on night one. Sit in the SUV. Do not add a fare argument to it.

Reliability is the thing you are buying

AV125 is late enough that you will not want to audition drivers. The prepaid luxury SUV is a licensed, airport-authorized car, a name sign, and a USD amount that was settled days earlier. If the flight lands at 12:05 instead of 11:40, flight tracking covers the wait. The price is higher than a hopeful street quote because the street quote is a different, thinner product. Rideshare pickup at this airport is uneven. The license point is spelled out in why licensed airport drivers matter.

$50 to Wyndham Quito Airport. $75 anywhere in Cumbayá. $100 anywhere in Quito. Maximum 4 passengers per SUV. Bookings need at least three days’ notice. The contact is book@uiotransfers.com.

Put AV125 in the form, not “Avianca from Bogotá,” because more than one Avianca flight uses that city pair. Rates are listed on the rates board. Book before you fly and keep the confirmation available offline. The longer note on this time of night is landing at UIO after dark.
